Who Stole the Tarts is the 11th Chapter of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It is the famous trial scene. When Alice arrived at the courtroom, the King and Queen of Hearts were seated on their thrones, surrounded by a large crowd of animals and birds as well as the whole pack of cards. The White Rabbit blew the trumpet and read the accusation that the Knave of Hearts stole the Queen's tarts. The Hatter, the first witness, came in the courtroom followed by the Duchess' cook...
This piece was composed like music for a silent film. I was inspired by fanciful characters, with nonsensical and whimsical spirits.
