Thomas Adès in Three Performances at Carnegie Hall

This month Thomas Adès visits New York for a special series of concerts in which he performs and conducts his own works and a host of others at Carnegie Hall. The performances kick off with the US premiere of Adès’ Lieux retrouvés, commissioned by Carnegie Hall, the Aldeburgh Festival, and Wigmore Hall, on March 19th. Thomas Adès is at the keyboard for the premiere of this duo and is joined by cellist Steven Isserlis.

On March 24th, Adès conducts the Ensemble ACJW in a program that includes his own The Origin of the Harp and Concerto Conciso, as well as Gerald Barry's Sextet. Adès returns to the piano on March 27th for a solo recital that includes the NY Premiere of his Concert Paraphrase on Powder Her Face, in addition to works by Janáček, Liszt, and Prokofiev.
