Perusal

How long may I keep my perusal score?
A standard perusal period is sixty days from the date of shipment.

Rental

May I receive a score and/or string masters in advance?
We will provide a full score and string masters if requested, three months prior to the performance date. Any materials needed in excess of that time will be considered an additional rental period and will be subject to rental fees.
What if I need more string or woodwind parts than what you provide?
Our rental agreement provides that photocopies of Materials may be created for the purpose of practice and performance in the event the requested numbers of copies are not available. All such copies must be destroyed or returned to EAMDLLC following the performance.
What is considered an "educational concert"?
An educational concert is a performance provided for young people only that is free of charge to the audience. Family concerts are not considered educational performances.
On what criteria are your rental fees based?
Rental fees are determined based on the work being performed, duration of the work, instrumentation of the work, number of performances of the work, rental period and organization renting the work. Rental fees are not inclusive of shipping charges. The renting party is responsible for these charges.
When do I need to pay for my rental order?
Payment is due fourteen (14) days after the last performance date. EAMDLLC will send an invoice to you upon shipment of the materials. Please return payment separately from the materials as our accounts receivable office is located in a separate location from our shipping site.
How long will it take to process my rental order?
Once we receive your completed request we will send you a two-page rental license agreement for your review and signature. Please allow up to five business days for receipt of a contract via fax or e-mail. If you have not heard from us within one week of placing your order, please feel free to call us at (212) 461-6940.
What is a "rush fee"?
A Rush Handling Fee will apply to your order if the performance is occurring within three weeks of the date of receipt of your order or you are requesting that the order be processed immediately (contract issued, faxed and music shipped upon receipt of the signed agreement) without prejudice to the actual performance date. A rush fee is not inclusive of shipping charges and is non-refundable should a performance be cancelled.
When will materials arrive?
Materials will be shipped to arrive six (6) weeks prior to the first date of performance, unless contracted for a term in excess of six (6) weeks. (Materials usually ship eight (8) weeks prior to the first performance date).
Do I still have to complete the Confidential Credit Application even if I'm willing to prepay?
All parties wishing to rent materials from EAMDLLC must complete a Credit Application to create an account with our company. There are no exceptions.
What if I just need one part for an audition, or to complete a set of materials we bought previously that is now a rental item?
We do not rent individual parts or break sets for any rental regardless of materials needed. Audition materials will not be provided to individuals and must be obtained through the auditioning organization as a license is required for this process.
What if I don't have an ASCAP or BMI license?
Upon receipt of the agreement, your organization will be notified which performing rights organization you will need to contact to obtain the necessary performing rights license. Failure to obtain this license will void the rental agreement and may make your organization subject to additional charges and fees.
What if I'm a student and I need to rent a work for my recital?
We will not rent materials to an individual or to someone who is not a financially responsible representative from the organization. Should you require rental, please have the appropriate party from your institution make this request on your behalf.
May I rent a work from you that is permanently out of print from the publisher?
Most publications that are now permanently out of print have not been added to the rental library.
What if my performance is cancelled?
In the event of cancellation of performance(s) after the Material has been shipped, a $100.00 service charge plus shipping charges will be due. Further, a rental fee will be due for each month or portion of a month that the Material is in circulation following the date fourteen (14) days after the final performance. Please note that notices of cancellation must be in writing and must be received not later than ten (10) days after the date of the scheduled performance to be accepted. If notice is given after that date, the full rental charges will remain due and payable.
What happens if I lose or destroy a part?
A replacement charge will be collected for any Materials lost or defaced. The Licensee must notify EAMDLLC within five (5) days of the receipt of the Materials if any parts listed on the packing slip are not in the package received from EAMDLLC or received in poor condition. Otherwise, the Licensee will be held responsible for all parts listed on the packing slip. In the event the Material is returned but parts are missing the licensee shall pay a non-refundable fee of $1.50 per page for each score or part not returned. There are no credits for lost materials returned at a later date.
